Islands Trust hosted open houses throughout the Trust Area region of British Columbia to gather input from the public, including First Nations, on its guiding principles for planning and decision-making.

The large, content-heavy boards get visual relief from photographic banners, unique to each board (or pair of boards in the case of Local Trust Areas). For added visual interest I included a brand element from the client’s Islands 2050 logo.

I provided colour recommendations to Islands Trust’s GIS team to ensure that colours used on maps would be readable by people with colourblindness and to ensure that small areas were discernible.
